I get easily 10 anxiety attacks a day.. i cant do this anymore i hate suffering! Its too hard.. i cant even talk to my therapist about my problems i feel like she thinks im over reacting and pretty much makes
Me feel dumb for feeling like i do.. i also suffer with GED (general anxiety disorder - since the age of 5 ive beem seeing a therapist for that) and Severe depression disorder. Im now 21. And i feel like my boat is about to sink.... why am i still lost and not better?

Hello goldenRush: I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time. Anxiety is something I've always struggled with as well. So I know something of what that's like. From what you wrote, it sounds as though it might be worthwhile to see if you could find another therapist with whom you feel more comfortable. Your therapist shouldn't make you feel dumb.

I see this is your first post here on PC. So... to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! May the time you spend here be of benefit.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!

DPD can be such a tough thing to go through. Nobody seems to understand it very well. I have had it for a good portion of my life, first attaching to my mother, and then when she passed away, attaching to a highly dysfunctional and scary, scary man. I just hope that you will reach out to those of us who understand and who care. We are out here, hiding in the shadows.

what i do is try not to pull my hair out, a bunch of bad coping skills, go to therapy, distractions, distractions, distractions, and more dumb *** distractions....

it hurts, ALOT
just ignore the bloody pain as much as possible because its not going to kill us, only we will kill ourselves if we let it get that far, i just decide to get high or drunk instead of killing myself, which i think is a much better plan and dont care what anyone else thinks because the pain is unbearable

i feel you, and im sorry you have to suffer

I'm sorry that you feel that way. Back in the '80's I had a lot of similar problems. My therapist told me about assertiveness training. I got books on assertiveness and since then I just kept better and better. Try assertiveness training!
