back in 2005,

Possible trigger:

I lost my parents, my education, a lot of things- but I held on to my life.

since then I've attempted 4 more times- 2011, 2013, 2016 and 2017, but that could have been it back in 2005, and I'm sort of glad it wasn't

yeah I've lost a lot of important things that probably would have helped me, but I have the most important thing.. and that's my life

I have always dealt with depression but have been twice hospitalised it was so bad that I had suicide ideation. I never really recovered after the first hospitalization and after about three years of the battle once again worsening I found myself again hospitalised for nearly eight weeks.

I received a course of six ECT treatments and I credit this with literally yanking me out of the depths. It was as though the fog lifted or curtains rising as the funk near disappeared.
Warning, this is a difficult trigger...

Possible trigger:

That was three years ago. Sure I have my down days still but I am able to find joy in things again. I am capable of feeling happiness. I am capable of recognising and celebrating the good things in life.

No it will stay here. I feel like not enough people are talking about how much they've improved or recovered from mental health problem, especially depression.

People can gain alot from of hope from these stories, which is what I was going for

I agree with that statement

that's cool it isn't going anywhere- I''m not actually sure I'd like my comments to be used on some random blog entry (that, and what I wrote is hardly inspiring)

well it is, but it's not like I fully recovered if that makes sense

Makes perfect sense, all depends how severe it affects you, not many people fully recovered from conditions like clinical depression. it always seems to linger deep down I'm the back of the mind.
