A psychologist told me that I narrowly escaped schizophrenia.

I managed to carry on, graduate, find a job.

Actually I changed many jobs until I got stuck in one.

I got seriously depressed and suicidal.

I couldn't sleep and I had serious problems eating.

I couldn't work and I needed psychotropic medications.

I still believe that meds are what you need when you feel suicidal or can't eat or sleep.

I learned from a great psychologist that meds will also be a big obstacle to your psychological growth.

I have been lucky enough to find psychologists who believed in me.

They taught me how to take care of my psychological well-being.

Our "educators" teach us how to take care of our physical health.

They teach us about eating greens and brushing our teeth.

They don't teach us how to take care of our psychological well-being.

They don't know how to that themselves.

I learned how to take care of my psychological well-being.

I do that every day. I brush my teeth every day and I take care of my psychological well-being every day.

There has been a period that I neglected taking care of my psychological well-being.

It may happen.

It may happen that you neglect brushing your teeth and you get decay.

It may happen that you neglect taking care of your psychological well-being and you get anxious or depressed and can't sleep or eat.

It happened to me, but now I'm better.

I restarted taking care of my psychological well-being.

I can even enjoy going to a park and contemplate the green and children playing for an hour or two. It's a sign that I'm fine.

It doesn't matter that you didn't win at the parents' lottery.

You can still meet someone who believes in you and who teaches you how to take care of your psychological well-being.

Then it's up to you to do that in the same way as it's up to you to brush your teeth regularly.

It's important to put your psychological well-being above everything else in your life.

Success is fake if you are full of fear and stress.

You have to be lucky because there are a lot of lies around.

I discovered Dorothy Rowe, Erich Fromm and Carl Rogers and owe a lot to them.

They told me the truth.

"We all need to remember that, whatever form our mental distress takes, we are always more than our misery." — Dorothy Rowe

A super big group hug.

Thanks. I'm interested more in learning how to take care of my psychological well being.
