Continued from thread number one: Looking for accountability partners to motivate each other to get things done while depressed.
This is the second thread as we already reached 1,000 posts on the first thread.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is how the original thread started:

As it states in the title, I am looking for accountability partners so that we can all motivate each other to get **** done, set and achieve our goals. We would have daily check ins.

I, like many others, suffer from a constant funeral in my brain and I need help navigating life and a community to turn corners with. I know that I am not the only one who lacks motivation and lacking the tools and resources in getting out of bed.

I am reaching out to PC because I don’t have anyone in my circle who can be an accountability partner. Well, I don’t have a circle.

I am hoping that this will motivate others to get stuff done while lacking motivation to do so.

I could definitely use one of these. I'm trying to stick to a habit of short, routine exercise during the day, and actually working on my music.

It’s spring break and I did not have to help my mom today. I was up at 9 AM and walked the dog. My daughter had eye therapy. I had two prescriptions at two different pharmacies. Me and my daughter went through her books. We’re giving some away that are for younger kids. I had to turner her phone off to help motive her to clean up.

I fell off the wagon too, had a bout of heavy depression brought on by illness and stress but starting to feel a little better now. my goals are to take better care of myself, but my specific goal for the next few weeks because it may take a while is to clean out my mini hoard in the garage. the washer has started to leak-its old and rusted-so if I have to replace it I will have to clear a path!! and cleaning the garage is way overdue.

Thanks again for this thread Fall Dusk Train!! and hugs to everyone out there working on their goals

My strech band (rubber) has arrived, so I will have to decide how to use it. Physical Exercise is good for depressed people!

My day was not so good yesterday, but today has been better.

I will come back and write about my plans for Monday on Sunday!

A good weekend to all!

Hey Singer;
Let me know if you need ideas as to how to use the stretch band. BTW; what kind did you get?
Yes, exercise is very good. I plan on going back tomorrow.

Hello Everyone;
I am back. If I let myself, I would continue staying in bed, eating horrible thus developing further self hatred but I cannot afford to do it as I am on a bad path and if I continue, bad things will happen. So, I will take this weekend to prepare for Monday.
Tomorrow:
- Go to the gym at 8AM; (workout, run a mile)
- Clean apartment (may be laundry)
- Start UM on Saturday evening
So, I will start small.

So glad you are back! We can do this!!

I didnt get to the garage yesterday because I had a bunch of errands to run but today is the day. I am going to make room in the kitchen to bring in boxes and go through them so I can either donate or throw out everything I dont need or cant use. Its hard because I'm a pack rat but I am going to do it!

Wishing everyone a happy and productive Saturday

Hey guys. I've been struggling too. I'd like to try again.

I've received some really good advice in another thread & so I'm going to try again with just one aim a day for a bit. See if that helps.

Today I changed the bed sheets.

Tomorrow I'm going to wash my hair.

Best wishes to you all x

Hello! I'm back. This thread motivates me and I really appreciate that. I'm trying to get back on track. I have these as my goals:

1. Load the dishwasher.
2. Clean off the counters.
3. Open boxes.

I think that should do for now. Hope everyone does well!

All good and I do them except:
bathe every day. sunday is bath day but I have a shower most days
do dishes every day
watch news on tv. Too depressing. I can depress myself just by being me.
you get fed enough news all the time.
iron clothes. No,no, no . If god meant us to iron clothes he wouldn't have invented t shirts
feed cats. Not really a cat person. quite like dogs but I make enough mess without a dog. I do feed the ducks, geese, swans occasionally on the lake I walk past
study tech stuff. nah

best wishes desiree

I certainly could use some motivation instead of living in fear.
Helping others would be a great thing too!

Hi FallDuskTrain, It's good to see that you are active again! I know how to use the rubber band. I have ordered a new one because the old was marked "easy" and this new one is marked "medium". I am going to use it as part of my training program as a diabetic. One of my goals is to try harder to be physical active, to do do it either I like it or not (even if that is more easy to say than to do).

Thank you so much for offering your help!
