Thank you Desiree. It is lovely to see you back on the bus. I have missed you.

I hope you and Blacky feel much better soon. Cats make good friends for us. Pets accept us AS IS.

Much love to you and everyone today

when I hit the real world of work and relationships I broke down...
I never ever thought life would and could be so hard ....so awfully hard...
I am just an ordinary guy from ohio ....I went into being a doctor
and it broke me down....I am glad that I survived and helped out some..
but I thought I would be able to discover and help people much more...
it never happened...it was a big disappointment....mental illness????
depression??????????anxiety?????panic???????????

now back to what might help with our mental suffering...
I like what dr dean ornish is saying about lifestyle medicine...
4 things he points out as important-----
1...what are you eating
2...how much are you moving
3...how are you handling stress
4...how much love and support do you have..

that's it from his new book

I really wanted to help people who were suffering from
depression after I had a very serious depression breakdown...
but when I found out how screwed up psychiatry was....
it was a terrible letdown and eventually led to another breakdown...
some of the people I knew were killing themselves....why why why
if the treatment was so good how come good persons were dying...

I left my first husband when I realized that he is causing me to be depressed. His power over me was so strong. He killed my self-confidence. He almost killed me. I was thinking about suicide but, for people outside I looked perfect and without any trace of depression. When we divorce everybody was surprised but I felt alive again.
Now, my depression is caused by high level of physical pain and chemo therapy I went through.

Little Turtle from you're years of experience both as a doctor and as a patient,
Outside of the meds,
Taken into account that a person has a healthy lifestyle,
Do you have any advice on handling our toxic feelings?

Much love to you and everyone reading today

For me, the depression doesn't have a cause. It's a genetic chemical imbalance. Quite a few members of my family have mental illnesses more severe than depression.

The only thing that helps me is taking anti-depressants. With them I can live on my own and hold down a job.

Have you tried anti-depressants little turtle?

Do not be so sad just because you have not been able to help someone. You will be able to help someone just by being empathetic about their mental health symptoms and how they are affecting their lives.

The answer for handling toxic feelings might be to find a good counselor who will use mindfulness as technique and some other therapy. If you do not like your counselor go.. and find the one you like.

some really good comments about our suffering...thanks
each person is different...we have some things in common...
anti-depressants have not worked out real well for me....
for me letting out my feelings safely without hurting others is important...
those feelings sometimes give me a clue as to what is disturbing me..
I am trying very hard to deal with everything about me----guilts/traumas/hurts/+++
I want to be a friend to me just like thirty shades has been saying...not my own enemy...

If you need to let your feelings out, feel free to message me. I don't have PTSD and won't get triggered.

Sorry you feel so bad.
