I am so sorry to hear that. I am just a student of the social work and I am working as case manager in mental health agency. I know that my counselors are using different techniques not just cognitive behavioral therapy. They are using all kind of therapies and coping skills. Can you try mindfulness? It helps to accept yourself as you are and prevent panic attacks. Also, positive thinking as a doing a miracles. How positive thinking works? Easy, tell yourself that you are doing a good thing and commend yourself even when you just get up from bed and wash your face when you wake up. You made it. Reward yourself for coping with MH.

I am sorry to hear that. I am not familiar with UK system. In U.S.A programs for MH are developed by lawmakers (thanks to George Bush senior who saw how depression can change someone life because his best friend had severe depression and attempt suicide).

This is not true... what this person says

She has not heard us or our truth

The “services” do harm

They are not listening still

Much love to you.

I have tried mindfulness. Sometimes helps but not when I am triggered and overwhelmed.

I have lots of coping techniques but there is no cure. I find meds don't work for me. They have no positive effect and I suffer badly from the side effects.

Positive thinking helps but sometimes life is just bad and no amount of positive spin will change it. It will still be bad in years to come too.

Do you know of any treatments that may help us in the UK? We have terrible mental health services who cause us more harm.

Much love to you

Thanks for love. I know that there is genetic testing for compatibility with medications. I was lucky one and my medications are working but counseling helps a lot. Life is complicated and it is hard if you do not have support from family members.
I am not not clinician yet to give you some tips about treatments or therapies but try to find good counselor. The legend said they exist

I’m also in the uk and am allergic to all the meds I’ve tried (many) except for benzos.

I do think there may be some good counsellors, I haven’t found one though

Also plenty of money would be needed imho, which not everyone has

The “public system” imho, is not honest in this forest irl imho ... amongst other things

I am sorry to hear this Fuzzybear. The system is not perfect anywhere but keep trying and you will find a good counselor. It is a trip and like all trips the road can be rough.

i have been having a problem with my heart....out of breath...
probably a-fib.....I will be having some tests soon...

so I worry and worry and worry....
valium really helps me when I just can't stand it anymore..
but valium really scares me...it is such a good medicine...
I do not want to go back being a regular user...

so I am trying other actions to handle this stress...drugs
and medicines scare me...I am not very courageous...
