I read a heartbreaking story over reddit while ... listening to Mac Quayle's Mr Robot soundtrack, the soundtrack for the scene where Angela dies, and Elliot says the following to her

-You wanna know what I believe? That this isn't the end, that there's another world out there for both of us. That we'll see each other again. And we'll play, and dance, and bake, and sing. Doesn't that sound beautiful? Will you believe with me?"

And... as I searched the internet for the saddest (fictional, horror) stories, I was reminded of the tune...

Reddit nosleep - I Knew a Girl Who Had Beautiful Wings


Basically, I'd have tried to explain it but it was a long time ago... and I don't think I am that much good of a narrator. But then again, I'll try.

Possible trigger:

There's a family of pizza-restaurant franchise owners. Then there's this young man who works as a manager; he is the son of the owners. He one days sees a young woman working at one of his restaurants as a cashier... he is too afraid to ask her anything, because of her looks and her apparent depression, hidden only by her beautiful smile, under the equally pained yet beautiful green eyes...

So they both start a conversation and the narrator is taken away by her smile and her eyes... It's then revealed that there's a "monster" living in her, which comes out whenever her anxiety is triggered. It's revealed that she has no family, and her sibling and mother died in a flood.

Then the narrator notices the wounds on her face and arms... she tells that it's her boyfriend who gets furious at her for making stuffed animals for children. I suspect the good-for-nothing boyfriend is a psychopath. It's apparent to the narrator that the woman has gone through severe sexual abuse by her boyfriend, while it's also apparent to him she is suffering from depression due to her childhood wounds and loss of family.

Then the woman starts crying when she tells the narrator that her boyfriend tore open the stuffed animals and threw them in the dust bin cause it makes him somehow "angry". Then she tells him his address and gives him her phone number.

After days, the woman calls narrator late at night, while the narrator correctly suspects the boyfriend is abusing her again... and by the time he reaches her, the monster kills the boyfriend, but not before the woman dies...
