Try to make ends meet, try to find some money, then you die -- "Bitter Sweet Symphony", The Verve
I feel like life is one long torture. No way out. A long broken road leading to death and oblivion. I'm on my knees, my friends. I just can't take this. Weirdly enough, I'm not suicidal, I'm just worried I might not have what it takes to survive in this world. I don't want to survive, though, I'd like to live! Why is it that so many of the people I see go about their lives and make their dreams come true while I struggle and struggle? I go through some pretty horrible phases, I call them "cosmic nihilism attacks". They drive me crazy. I'd like to write some more, but I'd be overstating my point. |

Hi, Fallaximago,
I can relate to what you are taking about. I have felt the same and on occasion, still do. Do you see a therapist? Would you consider doing that, if you aren't? I am asking because a therapist can help you see what you can do differently to better your life. Also, you can look up subjects you have questions about. I did both and still do for the most part. I read up on self-help books on topics I didn't understand. I had to learn new habits because what I was doing had me stuck, working hard at spinning my wheels and getting myself nowhere. There are oodles of great articles here on this website: Resource Directory | Psych Central I am glad you are reaching out and asking questions!! That's a good place to start. __________________ "Love you. Take care of you. Be true to you. You are the only you, you will ever know the best. Reach for YOUR stars. Hey, thank you so much! I see a therapist but it doesn't seem to be working too much. She sees progress that I fail to recognize, I just don't believe I've made it. That said, I'll be reading those articles. I've just received a self-help book called "Getting Back to Happy". I've already found a few strategies I could put into practice. Thank you so much for your kind response! When I wrote the first post, I felt very vulnerable and weak, it's a bit better now

I'm glad to hear you're trying to work on things, too. And I'm glad you're feeling better and reading to seek answers.
