Plans for today are:

1. Clean the dining room
2. Make some phone calls
3. Get ready for Wednesday’s seminar.

I am also going to float in the pool, go see a movie and work on my affirmations but these are for relaxation.

Warm wishes and hugs to all.

Plans for Tuesday:

- After breakfast 25 minutes walk
- Buy the color to my hair that I didn't buy some days ago
- Visit grocery shop
- Load the washing machine
- Pay bills
- Start to plan what is important to tell the therapist about the "happening"
- Continue to read an interesting article
- Start to plan what clothes to bring for my vacation later in the month

The only "thing" I was able to do, was to load the washing machine and try to read an article. I am really tired, but have a tiny hope. Tomorrow I will see my therapist.

Be well all!

I think relaxions are very welcome at this thread. It is about what we plan to do to keep our depressions at a level that is possible to live with, either it is this or that activity. It is not about how much work we can do only. (At least that is how I see it. To me this thread is a tool to fight depression by planning and try to stick to plan what ever it is that we have planned).

Wednesday: These are the most important items for being able to cope with my depression for tomorrow.

- Up 07:00
- After breakfast 11 x 2 minutes walk
- Grocery
- Some food
- 10 minutes mindfulness meditation
- Half an hour anger-management training*
- Therapy
- Half an hour reflection after therapy
- Food
- Go to a sport shop and buy new training trousers + a new towel

*
I became very angry remembering old traumas. It scared me and I want to learn different ways to cope next time ...

A good day to each one of you. May you be able to accomplish what you have planned for your day!

Jennifer, I'm sorry; this just fell out of my thoughts! Maybe there are different ways to interpret the "Looking for accountability partners to motivate to get things done while depressed". I remember that it first started with the "thread-maker" needed to get her showers done. Your plan (this time) seemed so ambitious that I felt that I would never be able to reach your level. But I am deep down, so please excuse!

Today was a quiet day. I read a lot, journaled and did part of an online class. I also picked up some in the living room, which seems to be an ongoing project. Tomorrow I see my med provider. Hope everyone is doing well. Best wishes to all!

After a little over four months, I managed to do 7 loads of laundry; washed four week old piled up dishes; and I hope I will get to wash myself soon.
I haven’t showered in over a week. Tomorrow I plan on showering before I go into work for a 7 AM meeting.
Then work, get ready for Thursday’s projects.
After work, I need to stop at the academy to visit an old colleague .
I wonder if i will manage to shower.
This cycle of depression hit me very hard. I have been in bed since February, with the exception of going to work. I am grateful that I have a job.
I hope everyone is well.

This gave me a laugh. Thank you! Unfortunately, I, the “thread maker”, still have trouble getting my showers done. It is awful.

Not very enthusiastic about having an appointment today. But I will do my best to get ready and go. I plan on rewarding myself with some Mexican food. That's keeping me motivated. This morning I have to clean litter boxes. Later today I will do things to relax. Wishing everyone the best!

No worries. I usually add my relaxation activities together on the list with my work activities. This time I just separated them out. Yes, I do sometimes make ambitious plans. I almost always get some portion of the plan done but not the whole thing. Still, I feel I’ve been productive and feel good about myself.

The list inspires me to do more than sit on the couch staring at the wall. Some is better than none. At my level? There are sooooo many days that I sit and do absolutely nothing...not even the basics like eating due to depression. This thread helps me with that.

I appreciate the thread and every one on it. You’ve helped me tremendously and I thank you.

I made it to my appointment. I'm having a very hard day. I'm not motivated to do anything but sleep. I don't even want to take my insulin but I will force myself.
