Trying very hard to clean the house today. I have managed so far to mop the toilet floor and clean surfaces and the sink. Seems so much to do, it was getting on top of me. I keep having to stop though.

Finished the bathroom, just need to put stuff back.

Did most of the kitchen too except still need to mop the floor

Now onto the reading room and living rooms

Upstairs can wait till tomorrow

Mom fell down an escalator Monday afternoon. She is hurt but will recover. I’m very grateful. I’m still going to attempt to make daily plans because it will help me mentally but some things may seem strange. Anyway, that’s what is going on.

My plans for Wednesday:

1. Trash out and to road.
2. Pick up special food for mom’s dog.
3. Cook a casserole for dinner.
4. Straighten up the house.
5. Care for mom.

Every week I look forward to the aftermath of my cleaning; sparkle. I tried a set schedule: the floors every Monday, the kitchen every Sunday night and the windows and dusting on Thursday, ek. But I found it much easier to do one simple task every day, as needed. Once you get in the habit of doing that task, the next time you do it, it gets more simple, and you can add more to it. If I try to clean too many hours at a time, I get tired and can't finish. I do my best not to overwhelm myself.

My plans for Wednesday:

1. took trash out
2. put package/gift in mailbox for a friend
3. researched new topic/learned something new
4. practiced something I already know
5. procrastinate on going to store for food, but go eventually

I have been busy today. I started the dishes (#2) but didn't finish. I'll finish them tomorrow. I ordered groceries today, cleaned the litter box, put laundry away and worked with Dell on my computer. I hope to get it fixed within a couple of days. Have to order a flash drive and re-install Windows.

Tomorrow I plan:

1. Wash dishes
2. Take out the trash
3. Open packages

I feel more hopeful about tomorrow.

Today I’m going to try to get something done that I have been putting off for a couple of weeks now - namely to get rid of the pot with the dead avocado tree that has been gracing the front porch. I need to get the rocks out of it, remove and cut up the dead tree, get residual soil out of the pot, and then clean the

I will let you all know how I do. Right now just looking at the pot causes me to feel overwhelmed.

I wish all the rest of you well as we try to get things done. 🙄

I did all three items on my list. I'm really glad. I'll relax the rest of the day. Tomorrow I will get a hair cut. That's my primary focus. I haven't been able to get one in months because of anxiety. At the moment I feel pretty positive about it.

Well, I got the items off the front porch and have the pot soaking, but am still not happy with myself. Why? Well, the front porch still looks VERY far from good, and my Id kept bugging me while I was doing the task, endlessly whining “when R we gonna get done so I can lie down???” 😑

I am so sorry to hear this, but glad that she will recover! I so agree with you; daily plans structures the day and make it more easy to cope with depression.
