The den was the worse room in the house. I had cleaners come in for the rest. I’m almost done with the den. It feels good. Tomorrow I have a busy day working out, running errands and graduating from PT. Yay!!!

Warm wishes to all.

A good weekend to each one of you!

I feel better now, but I'm tired. Had to finish a job-project today. Went to a restaurant to celebrate afterward. Tomorrow (Tuesday) I want to rest. I only have a few things I MUST do (included to fill my pill-box). After that I will use my time as free time.

I have been clever in using the "bright-light-lamp" in the mornings. I think I am out of, or on my way out of the "Winter depression" (the SAD). I will still use the lamp for some weeks ...

I send my best wishes and hopes of each one of you!

Warm wishes to all for a peaceful Sunday.

Dear Jennifer, what a way to measure depression ... Give your depression attention in the form of planning and working on the depression the way that functions the best for you.

I have a lot of clutter here, but even if so, I do not do more work in my home then the time I have scheduled. My main focus is on the "lamp", on gymnastics (to reduce pain in the body), relaxation, the hikings and the dancing, my daily walks, and my try to reestablish nutritious meals and on my breath. My relationship with others and God are important as well.

To not have to use too much time on your home, I recommend FLYLADY. Her instructions was of great help to me in former years. (Look up her Zone Cleaning). Her instructions helped me to form my own ways to do "things" after trying her ways for a while, and to ignore clutter that was not on my schedule.

Glad to hear that you feel OK!

Does "graduating from PT" mean that you have become a physical therapist?

Thank you for your very wise advice. I wore myself ragged getting the den clean and your way is much better. I will look into FLYLADY. Many thanks.

Oh no, I was just referring to the fact that my hand has improved substantially and I no longer need PT or a second surgery. Good news indeed. When I am able to work, I am a CPA by trade.

I've been busy today. But not busy doing household chores. I've been doing administrative things and taking care of my cat. I don't have any plans for tomorrow.

Hope you like it! She has 31 beginner steps (31 days) to getting used to the way she recommend planning housework. She calls it Baby Steps. I like that: Don't rush, only take small steps at the time.

I have never bought anything from her. It's important to remember that to use her advice doesn't have to cost you a penny.

I have found her morning Swish and Swipe for the bathroom very helpful. Now that I'm crawling out of the Winter depression I have the energy to do that. Out of bed, do the bed, run to the bathroom to swipe over the sink (the toilet the next day and so on). Then the day has started. It is time for breakfast and a new day.

Like I said in my former post, to follow her steps the way she recommended was very important for me whether I liked her suggestions or not. It built routines and routines are one of the most important habits people who suffer from depression can have in their lives to try to avoid falling into deeper depression.

Like I also said. Now I have picked out what suits me best (according to my energy) and the program has become FLY-Singer ...

Good Luck with FLYLADY!

Oh, I'm so glad that it was THAT it was about! CONGRATULATION! Hope your hand will stay well! I thought that you had started to educate yourself for a new trade to suit your depression. I have a MA. Have worked full time for years, the last years with depression. For now I have too many physical disorders to work full time. It has taken it's time to learn to live with these physical disorders, but "baby-steps" in that "fashion" as well have been helpful. Not doing ordinary work for the time being. After using time to digest that, I feel I live well with it. Time will show if it is possible to return to ordinary work part time. I am comfortable with that! My aim is to have most out of the energy I have and to feel that I live to the fullest inside the frames (living conditions) that are mine. My belief and trust in God helps with that.

I have used this day as a combination of resting and reading old notes about my personal triggers. Have updated myself and feel refreshed to move on in this wonderful life that I don't want to be stolen by the big dark wolf with a big mouth: DEPRESSION. Of course I expect relapse from time to time and a really dark period next winter. For now I want to enjoy my inner feelings of Spring. (Ginger tea reduces my physical pain).

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday (the day starting the 40 days of fast):
I have to do a few errands and I will go to Mass to receive my Ash cross. Usually I try to use these 40 days to try to strengthen the relationship between Jesus and myself; to try to become more and more like Him (with His help of course). I appreciate this time of the Church-year!

I send my very best wishes to each one of you. May your depressions become less hard to deal with and may you feel good about the things you accomplish either small and tiny or big and heavy!

Today I took a shower. I may run an errand tomorrow. Just depends on how I feel.

I cleaned off my kitchen counters and I opened packages. Today I plan to clean the litter box. If I have energy, I want to do some deep cleaning around the house. I'm not sure I'm feeling up to it. But I'll remain optimistic.

I cleaned the litter box. I'm satisfied. That's enough for one day.

I feel OK, calm and relaxed, but have little energy to use. Tomorrow (Thursday) I have to do the errands I didn't do today.

- Usual morning-ritual and breakfast
- Grocery
- Go home
- Eat something
- Do the errands that should have been done today.
- Give myself time to rest
- Plan for the rest of the day

May each one of you be able to accomplish at least something that make you feel well for doing it.

My very best wishes to all!

I opened packages and washed the dishes. Today I plan to open more packages and maybe cook something.

I am visiting my daughter at her college campus. I traveled up yesterday. Between taking the trash out, getting the pets set up and packing, not to mention traveling...I was satisfied with what I got done. Today I will visit some more and then travel back home., unpack and rest. I usually have to rest after a trip because we are constantly on the go during the visit.

I hope everyone is well. Warm wishes to all.

I took the trash out. That's all I feel like doing. I just want to sleep.

I have met to an appointment and have been in the grocery store. I will relax in the afternoon with Netflix. I am going to continue to relax during the weekend, only take care of myself. Sunday is Church-day for me. I will dine out with a good friend as well.

Hope to see you at Monday!

A really good and relaxed weekend to you!
