My favourite of all time: The All-American Rejects - Move Along

Some other nice ones:

The Killers - Smile Like You Mean It
Brand New - Can't Get It Out

Nirvana - Something In The Way
Heavens - Dead End Girl

Soothes me rather than energizes me, makes me feel more calm

Great picks EllieCake. I also like that Killers song. Btw, your profile name and pic are wonderful. Thank you for participating in our thread. I could probably post > 100 songs here but I love when others share!

That song Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival is upbeat and from Forrest Gump, a movie I adore. I don’t listen to it so much but when it comes on it makes me feel somewhat better.

I rarely admit this but when I’m down, or need to get energized or motivated I listen and dance to disco music. I have too many favorites to post one here (I love them all) but it’s hard to stay down when you’re shaking your groove thing. Tehehe.

Thanks for an awesome thread.

Great idea for depression-lifting beats Did you ever listen to Jamiroquai? You might like his stuff. I can't be still when I hear these plus I have a fond memory of being in the car with my sisters bopping to these beats
