really, really sad.
today my old chest of drawers were taken away to be crushed (the drawers are broken and won't open), and I'm sitting here, close to tears thinking.... well what a waste of wood that is- it really affects me it's the natural thing to happen though- if a toy stops working, or if a cd/ dvd gets snapped, then you're going to get rid of it (and when something does break and I have to get rid of it, I have those feelings) but it's so much worse when it comes to furniture it's like I'm now thinking that they are angry with the furnitures fault.. so that's why they are not sending it to furniture heaven I know it sounds stupid, but this is how I feel. |

Do you have a personal attachment to your furniture. I do, because it was my grandmother's and I grew up with the furniture. So so so hard for me to get rid of it. I just cant do it even though my dog and kids have trashed it.

Yeah, if there's a sentimental value attached to it - perhaps you grew to really like that old chest of drawers - then, yes, their destruction could bring about a sense of grief and sadness. I can understand that. Me, I'm a minimalist so I'm only too happy to get rid of anything that has no practical use. Except for one or two things.

I'm sorry, raging vortex. I agree. Does this furniture mean anything to you? Do you have any sentimental value attached to it? Or maybe you're just a very sensitive person. Sending many hugs to you
