Does anyone here have a problem with spending or wasting money while they are depressed to the point where you put yourself in a bad financial situation ?
I do this and afterwards not only am i worried financially but i feel guilt, embarrassment and self loathing . is this linked to depression ? |

I'm so sorry, cryingontheinside I have never heard this symptom but I think it could definitely be related to depression. Maybe the overspending is a way to cope with your feelings. Some people eat too much, others sleep too much, so it may be related to that. Please don't feel guilty, it's not your fault, it's clear you're trying your best to cope. I'd suggest to talk to your Pdoc about this and see how it goes from there. Maybe there's a solution to this problem. Or maybe you need to learn some coping skills to help you deal with this. Please don't give up. Hopefully things will get better sooner or later. Sending many hugs to you
