Feeling down and overwhelmed. Hope to get motivated to take care of some responsibilities. I'm having a really hard time leaving the house. I need to drop my scripts off. They run out in 3 days. I keep putting it off.

I have been very busy at work in the last few days. It's been crazy with a big meeting going, painters, and prepping for the carpet cleaners on Saturday. I have been assigned to prepare for the carpet cleaners, such as moving stuff out. It reminded me of last week when I was moving.
I have a three day weekend. I feel like it's much needed for me right now. I plan on cleaning my place this morning. The routine of cleaning is new to me with being in another place. And it's different from the other place. I still feel pretty lonely at my new place. Though the people at where I am now are pretty nice. Certainly much better than the other place I was at. Right now I don't feel like doing anything, but I will get going eventually. Also, I had started a thread on another forum at Psych Central called Insurance & Finance. I have used the same user name as on here - Will19. You are more than welcome to look at it and I would appreciate any feedback to me if you have one. |

I have read about damage that can be done to the brain by persistent, long-term depression, although it's not clear to me whether this refers to totally untreated depression or depression that's proven resistant to treatment. In any case, they say at a later stage in life the changes to such a person's neurological functioning can mimic Alzheimer's, which has me fearing that I might well become such a person at some point, even though I'm only 32.

It's been a long time since I posted. Been struggling a lot the doctor wants me to either do ECT or a new medicine through my nose. Both are impossible as the ECT is two hours away and the issue of who will watch my children and drive me there. The one through my nose is impossible unless I stop breastfeeding and that is not something I am willing to stop yet. So they do not know what to do with me.
I am hoping to sign up for a ceramics class to do something to get out of the house. Yesterday I bought some flower seeds to plant and a couple of houseplants because they made me feel better. that's about all. I hope everyone has been doing okay. __________________ |

I didn't get up until 12.06 today, which isn't the worst, but is still not ideal with an 8 and 11 year old to occupy. Thankfully they're quite sensible children, but still I just feel so guilty.

Pretty busy with doing laundry this morning. Later in the morning, I ran some errands. In the afternoon I went on a 1-1/2 hour bike ride. It was different from other bike rides that I have taken, as I was just poking around the neighborhood to get more acquainted with it.
The community nearby where I live seems like it has a "Hollywood" type atmosphere. I feel kind of lonely because it's all fleeting to me. Plus I see a lot of couples and friends together, which makes me feel that way. My friend went to a show this afternoon. However, he called and said that he may drop by my place, since it's near where the show is. If he stops by then it will be the first time for him to visit me in my new place. We'll see how that goes. It's nice having tomorrow off from work. But I hope to be able to connect with someone at where I live to ask questions about this new place. I have a lot of unanswered questions. I hate to bother the manager. |

Someone rated one of my novels 2 stars. It's my best work overall, too. It gets me down.

So sorry to hear that. It really hurts to put so much effort into something and have someone else just put it down. I'm sure that others will come on and give it a better rating for you. What's that novel about? Lots of times with these user ratings, someone can give it one star while others give it five. |

I feel pretty empty this holiday but I am looking forward to all the vacationers leaving. It has been too loud where I live I miss the peace and quiet. Just trying to get through another day.

I used to live and work at a popular summer resort area and I know what you're talking about. I used to hate the summer holiday weekends, except for Labor Day which meant the end of the summer season. I worked for my parents' resort business when I was much younger. I enjoyed it when I was very young, but hated it when I got older. It's been many decades since that business was sold and gone from me. I don't miss it at all. I hated having the people take over the place. |

Woke up feeling tired and somewhat depressed. After eating, I felt better. It's partly cloudy and unseasonably cool outside now, but that's fine with me.
I plan to visit my friend sometime this morning. He has some things to give me that I would probably like for my new place. Yesterday was a pretty nice day for me. I watched a good movie last night and had a good talk with my sister. |

One of these days I expect a psychiatrist to say something like:
"You've got [my name]'s disease!" "What is that? Is that like depression?" "It's like depression, but faster!" |

When therapy only makes things worse, and when you have a psychiatrist and a therapist who blame you for your depression, who make passive-aggressive accusations and use circular reasoning, what's the point of any of it? I'm not going back to that damn office again. I don't know what I'm going to do but I'm not going back there, ever. Right now I just want to get in my truck and drive and drive and drive, and wherever I wind up that's where I stay.

Went back to work after a three-day weekend. I had some anxiety about work over the weekend because I was putting chairs in the breakroom, which had linoleum floors, from the auditorium. I think that I may have scratched up the floors when I moving the chairs. No one said anything about it to me today, thank goodness!
Other than that, it's been a routine kind of day. Went bike riding after work. I plan to try to work out next week. I prefer to workout at home. It's different where I am now than at the other place. |
