If you’ve ever felt excluded.. at school, work, by neighbours or even online... well it isn’t a nice feeling.

This thread is for ALL... maybe also if you’ve excluded people you can give your opinion of why you do this. I’ve done it too myself at times, and I usually don’t feel good about it. There is already too much pain and rejection in this world,

Love and strength to all

I don't allow abusive people IRL into my space.

It takes a lot for me to exclude
But if people want to abuse and won't stop when asked
Eventually I had no choice

I don't know if this would be the same, but there are times I don't initiate with people because of extreme lack of confidence, fear of rejection, that kind of thing. That may come across as aloofness, but it's not meant that way.
I understand this. I’ve been perceived as aloof too although it wasn’t meant that way.. like you it was anxiety, low confidence, fear of rejection etc

I too, have had many times when I stand back and must have appeared aloof. I also felt rejected because others did not include me because I was to scared to join in.

The problem is when I step forward to take part my voice and body language give me away and people back off anyway.

I am used to be unacceptable now...

I just don't fit in most of the times. I guess it's my fault?

I had to exclude my family after horrific abuse

well, they did it first, and said

Possible trigger:

and so I did it too (2 way street)

I also exclude people that don't understand my mental health or my past.

I really don't have time for people giving me harsh comments, or people pretending they know what I went through

on the flip side, I also get excluded a lot

most times it's because of my mental health, and people don't want to discuss things or admit that I'm as bad as that

other times it's because I'm very strong minded and blunt, and that scares people sometimes that I have strong opinions.

I also think their's a lot to do with lack of experience. many people feel awkward talking to someone who say, hasn't completed school, been kissed, doesn't work, what ever
