No mate, don’t think like that. I am very sorry I am very sorry if I misled in any comment. Successful can mean you are learning , you are enjoying sunshine, you met a nice person. My case is just I may be too dramatic, but is just Japan treatment to foreigners is horrible, I can’t see my children’s after divorce and see pictures of them ( I am using lawyers but they are not as effective) , my sister is sick with schizophrenia and my mom is 73 years old back home (Venezuela) and I am sending money back. ( I wish U.S already intervened) and now I’m hospitalized due to all this stress. But I am trying to have happy thoughts so I don’t break. I know you guys are lovely group of people and you can achieve what you want even if we have our limitations.

Social behaviors can be learned .. if that's all that's holding you back. Simply get the counseling you need to learn the social behaviors you feel you lack. Bipolar (if thats what you reference) is not so much a social thing though as it is learning to deal with your own mind bc of the way it behaves so erratically it can be frustrating and that comes out in your behavior .. as do the manic and depressive symptoms.

Borderline Personality Disorder (which appears similar to bipolar) is very much related to societal interaction as much as it is dealing with your mind - because it is literally part of your personality. It is how you have learned to deal with life.

So .. Borderline .. can be taught societal functioning skills. Bipolar is tricky bc it
deals with rapid thoughts that don't necessarily have any purpose .. those thoughts can be hard to slow down enough to control behaviors. But - it can be done.

Point is .. it may take you longer, but if it is only societal behaviors holding you back .. that is not insurmountable.
Good post.
