Isn’t this the modern version of shock therapy that they used on serious depression decades ago? My mom had it twice.

Could be anything happening in her body actually. She may have had brain damage and scary things like that. Now that her brain 'flatlined' ten times, I don't think her happiness will unfortunately last long enough. I observed squinting of eyes in one of her photos, meaning her (optic) nerves are affected. Not saying it's absolutely a bad thing, but it could lead to one.
