I am completely useless. I never get anything done. Most of the time I can't figure out what I'm supposed to be doing. I never see anyone anymore outside of work. Every time I make a decision, I should really stop and choose the other option. At this point I'm pretty sure I'm sabotaging myself.
I took a week off of work to go to the hospital, but never ended up going and wasted all that leave. Nothing has changed. Nothing will. My social worker told me to get a dog. There are days I can't even walk because of pain, so I can't even care for a dog. They shoot horses. I wish I was a horse. |

I hear you . I have felt the same way many times. I still don't go out much, never call friends, or be "social" at all. I don't work outside the home. Your being able to work is a big accomplishment. I wish I could. Maybe if you gave yourself a pat on the back for the things you CAN do. You might be surprised that you do more than you thought.

I hope I'm able to keep working. If things stay the way they are, I'll probably be on disability before long. I wish I could get into a job that's more engaging. I'd like to think a better job will keep me going longer, but I'm afraid of starting something new and finding I can't do it.

I agree with Calla Lily. I can't work and find everyday tasks a struggle. You are doing well getting out of the house.
If you do have to stop work, know that looking after yourself is your first priority. I had to stop judging myself by other peoples standards. That is hard when coming into contact with the world because they view you negatively. Have enough respect for yourself, to do the right thing for you personally. Practice self love which is hard for us but it helps a little. |
