I am beginning to shut down -- I don't see the point in motivating myself anymore, and am becoming human waste. I do nothing beneficial. I am severely depressed..... what is the point in trying to function like a human being?

As far as my observation goes, I can tell this - The point or meaning of life is to thrive despite the challenges you face. The challenges vary from person to person, but so do the ways of thriving. I want to get driving license, for instance, but I have ophtho as well as neurological problems that may prevent me from successfully passing the medical exam and/or the actual driving exam. But I'll try anyway.

Remember, Stephen Hawking tried and succeeded despite having almost zero odds of success. I have much more than that. I can only postulate, but so do you.

Its tough to be going backwards sadveiledbride.

I know how you are feeling.

((((Hugs))))

I have good days and bad. I cope better now unless I am having an ugly day.

Coping techniques help but sometimes a few days away from the world can be what needed too. Sometimes longer

Our inability to feel any positive emotion is a challenge.
I find looking after you own needs, only doing what you feel up to while attempting to do more when you can helps.
Self love helps me. Bonding with my inner child.
But there are days she doesn't want to know me too.

I will perhaps remember your advice and words of wisdom -- thank you for the reply. Sorry to hear about your ophtho and neurological problems.

I'm trying to cope better as well and at this very moment I'm okay I suppose. Thank you for your kind words. I hope your day is well.
