All I do is lay around all day watching Netflix and YouTube and I do that just to have some sort of noise in the background.

All I can say is that I've been in that exact place many times. Sometimes, it lasts for months, sometimes weeks. Doesn't seem to matter whether I'm on meds or not - it has happened in both cases. It can be very difficult, to the say the least, to get out of that cycle.

But, if it gives you any sense of hope, I've come out if for periods of time, just like I've fallen into it. I find that if I'm gentle with myself (don't let the intrusive, ruminating thoughts in my brain consume me), allow it to "run its course," and accept that it's part of my existence now (at times), I can cycle out of it more quickly. If I let my brain run the show, "you suck, you're lazy, there's no hope, this is how it will be forever," it takes longer for that way of being to pass.

I hope this passes quickly for you. There IS hope!!

I can relate to what you say, Humpty Dumpty! You're definitely NOT alone! I completely agree with what speckofdust has already wisely said better than I ever could! Please BE KIND TO YOURSELF! THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT! It's very hard to be engaged in other interests when we're feeling depressed! We must not give up though! I'm sure you'll be able to find the inner strength and MOTIVATION one way or another! Please hang in there Humpty Dumpty! Things CAN and WILL get better at some point! I PROMISE YOU ALL OF THAT BECAUSE IT IS TRUE! PLEASE REMEMBER ALL OF THAT AS MUCH AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN BECAUSE IT IS TRUE! Please keep us updated on your situation, ok, Humpty Dumpty? WE ALL CARE ABOUT YOU and we DO want to know how things are going for you and if things are getting ANY BETTER for you and if there's ANYTHING AT ALL that we can do to HELP YOU OUT! I PROMISE YOU ALL OF THAT BECAUSE IT IS TRUE! PLEASE REMEMBER ALL OF THAT BECAUSE IT IS TRUE! Sending many hugs to you, altruistic, AWESOME, caring, dear, generous, gentle, kind, sensible, sweet, wise and WONDERFUL Humpty Dumpty!

YES! HD, please keep us posted! You may also PM me if you want to. I know you mentioned you're not up for doing anything, but if you want to drop me a line, I'm here as a real person behind the Forum wall! (Sorry, pun not intended....but, yeah, that was kinda cute....LOL) No expectations or judgments - I won't even write anything back if you prefer to have it be a one-way thing.

I can also relate Humpty Dumpty. As hard as I try, I find it is out of reach to find any joy, right now.

Its no wonder life feels so tedious for us....

Everything feels so pointless. I just try to hope it will pass and a brighter moment will come at some point.
