Hey everyone,
How do those of you with young children manage to get out and about and do things? I have an 11 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. My daughter is the kind of child who wants to be outside what seems like all the time. She had one of her big meltdowns earlier because she just wanted to be outside (we don't have a proper garden, just a shared courtyard). She broke my heart because after a while she came over and jump on me in tears, repeating how sorry she was over and over again. Luckily, my sister messaged me after her hair appointment and said she would come pick my daughter up and take her to play on the beach for a couple of hours. Of course I then felt guilty for that. She's just sent me a picture and a video on my daughter and niece having so much fun. Why can't I just get out there more?! Karen. |

I struggle to get out too, and when I do, it's for short trips to the shop or maybe to the park.
I am sorry you don't get out as much as you'd like, but it sounds like you have great people around you who are willing to help out. that's awesome |

What if you sat in the courtyard with your daughter in a folding chair? could she bring some toys out and plan in the sun?
