Early on my self-esteem malformed or became "damaged".
Later, I somehow stopped "caring" about my self-esteem, regardless of it's condition.
__________________ My dog  mastered the "fetch" command. He would communicate he wanted something, and I would fetch it.

My self esteem does vary to my mood. My inner child can be demanding and weaken it.
When I am able to practice self love it can improve. Sending respect to all those with integrity.
