Feeling cut off, from self and others
Intense Sui ideation
Feeling in a fog
Scary thoughts
Racing thoughts
Severe unrelenting anxiety
Very low energy
Feeling of futility
Other symptoms

Depression has been worse lately.

What helps with these symptoms (aside from medication or pets)

(Please don’t suggest phoning a doctor or helpline, I’m hoping for some support from the community. Much love and respect to all

I feel alone with this

Dear Fuzzy you are not alone, we are all warriors in this fight against depression and I can recommend you try something you like. I take ice packs put it on the back of my head and bring a cookie and a coke and watch back to the future.

For more serious you already know is creating positive habits , walking, cleaning, reading, creative workshop etc.

And of course help someone

Sometimes I need time to just wallow and keep my head down until I have enough energy to get up.

Management techniques can help.

I don't do well well I have stressful situations, nothing helps then.

Sending respect and compassionate thoughts

((((((( )))))))

In my experience, just about nothing helps with severe anxiety.

Apart from that,

doing things slowly and deliberately,
doing things or engaging in activities that provide an immediate reward (e.g. food, drink, reading if possible, TV, videos, walking, etc.)

sometimes help.

I am grateful that I have a paper bag.

The panic is growling at me recently...

It helps until the growling starts again...

Much love to all

Hi FuzzyBear. Your symptoms sound very familiar.

This may be nothing you haven't heard of or tried already, but what gives me some relief is doing deep breathing and picturing myself in warm, comfortable place, maybe surrounded by friends and family. Whatever the place is. For me, it's often a dock and sunset, lots of people around. Also, when I do have a pleasant experience, I make a note of it on my phone. That way, when I'm having a tough time (which is most of the time), I go back and look at my list, knowing that more will come, however small a percentage they may be.

For me, these things help

Long bath/ shower/ swim
Sitting in the sunshine with my eyes closed
Going to a garden centre to look at flowers
Petting cats or dogs
Reading a very interesting book and getting immersed in it
Visiting a church and just sitting quietly
Eating ice cream
Listening to a podcast or soothing music in YouTube
Cooking

I hope you find some peace. Blessings to you

Fatigue from dealing with the internal pain.

Is it worth trying to get up, when someone or something will knock you back down?

ATM my view for the next few weeks to months looks bleak. Perhaps my hole is the safest place for now.

It is hard to feel safe.

Much respect to all who suffer

I have these symptoms to varying degrees most days. Distraction and sleep help me most. I hope you can find relief. Many hugs to you.
