I’m just wondering...

Would you call anyone else here “pathetic”

Or “a piece of rubbish”

If not, why are some of us so cruel to ourselves?

There is definitely no way I would call someone on here on in real life pathetic. Even the many people who abused me over those 15 months I wouldn't call them pathetic. I would call them severely messed up and in need of a lot of help and even some time to be punished for the horrible things they did to me, but pathetic, no.

First off I tried responding earlier but right as I went to send/submit it I lost my internet

I would never talk to anyone on here that way because I don't know anyone on here well enough to know if it is true or not. I'm not just going to take your "word" for it just because you say it's true.
I talk to myself like that because I have always said I would be honest with myself, even when others would not. I say I'm a worthless piece of trash because I honestly believe that to be true about myself. Others won't say that to me because they don't want to hurt my feelings. That's what I call rubbish. I want you to be honest with me irregardless of my feelings.

You are a much better person than me. If I were abused by someone for 15 months....hell even 1 month I would call them things much worse. You are stronger and better than me.

I believe this is a fundamental question to which several several answers exist.

As you know, I strongly suspect early socialization plays a role in how we treat ourselves.

My snake can be vicious and I fall victim to agreeing with her.

My mother taught me to be agreeable to all. I was actively taught to put me last and treated like I was worthless and faulty from birth.

Self love when I have enough headspace is definitely helpful to my mood.

Much love to all
