Today was a little challenging for me. I did most of my to do list, ordered groceries and made difficult decisions about some medical treatments. I also spent some time reading this morning. That was very nice. Tonight I plan to play some games. Hope everyone has a good rest of the day!

Jennifer, I'm on my way out as you know. My depression has lifted and I have found a good way to cope with the doctors order about resting more daily. My home looks good, and by small adjustments it is easy to do ordinary homework continually. I have a room where I have put all «things» that I need to sort out what to do with them. I can do that when I feel energized and have the time. My social life is OK, I exercise regularly and enjoy much in my life, included my studies. My meals are healthy for the most of the time. So this thread does not have any relevance for me anymore. I manage to do regularly what I came here to re-learn, and, as already said before, I have had a good time here.

The end, however, was not good because what happened between you and me. It was totally unexpected. I felt it as if I got a slap in my face when I read that you accused me for having hurt you deeply. For the first it was never in my mind to hurt you. For the next it is not considered good tact and tone where I live to say so to one's friends. One can say: «I don't like your suggestion, I disagree with you, What you are saying is not for me ...» and so on. If one is to tell anybody about hurt feelings, that is more likely to happen in a marriage when one tries to better the relationship (for both), or in a family where the members try to make a better climate inside the family together.

If you didn't appreciate my inputs to help, you could have told me so. I would have respected that and stopped posting links, more ore less wise words and so on ... You have given me the impression that you liked my inputs, so of course I wanted to help if I could. May be you never thought about that we didn't live in the same culture (my posts was never posted in American time)?

Not to try to impress, but I want to post some results from a lecture I attended once. It is about what gives the interpreter most meaning: Words 7%, Intonation 38% and body language 55%, TOTAL 100%. If this is still correct (I don't know about other studies saying otherwise), here in the forums we lack 93% of the cues that people normally use to interpret messages in the real world. Something to think about ...

I will leave PC when I have finished answering the thread about conflict solving without losers.

People can have different opinions about if the best is to leave or stay when the depression doesn't have a claw around one anymore. For me to leave is the best. I meet people with different problems at work, so for me it is best to rest from problems in my leisure time to not be overwhelmed.

If you want to clear up between us before I leave, the time is now!

(I am sorry that I have to post this here. This should never have been a topic for all to read, but here it happened and if it shall be a better solution, eventually, then the one that was, it has to be here).

I made it to my doctor's appointment this morning. It was a struggle to get ready. I didn't feel well when I woke up but I wanted to get this appointment out of the way. Now I will order a sandwich as a reward and just relax. I want to focus on feeling better and doing self-care things. Sorry to hear there is conflict on the thread. I hope everything works out Okay for everybody.

I agree that it would be best to resolve this before you leave.

I am happy for you that your depression has lifted and that things are going so well. I sincerely hope that things continue in this vein and that you avoid SAD altogether.

I have appreciated your friendship and support and valued your input. I understand that your intention was not to hurt me and yet I felt attacked. Should we agree to disagree? How would you like to resolve this?

That's good! I have appreciated your friendship as well. How I would like to resolve it? I think the problem is already resolved with our two posts.

When agreement upon a topic isn't realistic to reach, then I think that the best is to leave that where it belongs, just as knowledge about where each one's borders goes and so respect that knowledge mutually.

Be well then, and good wishes for your journey forward too (backslides are allowed, as we already know).

Got a lot of sleep last night. I feel pretty good this morning. I already started on my to do list. I'm cleaning up around my place when I take breaks from the computer. Things are slowly shaping up. Today I plan to play games, do art, watch videos and clean up some more. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I’ve been productive so far today. I’ve taken my brother to get lab work and the animals to the vet. I managed to pick up one room and gotten ready to go out to a Gingerbread Craft Fair. When I get back, I’ll gauge my energy and take it from there. Today is a good day.

Low energy and high pain today. I couldn’t make the trip to see my daughter. Going to take it easy today. If I start feeling better, I plan to go grocery shopping and clean a bit and make a casserole. That’s a big if though.

I worked on my living room today. Cleared out a junk pile, wiped down the coffee table and vacuumed. I'm going to relax now. I'm pretty tired. Hope everyone is well.

I didn’t make it again today to visit my daughter. Disappointed about that. I have a busy week next week and I’ll see her Saturday so everything will work out. I am going to relax today and gather my strength and energy for the coming week.

I spent most of the day dealing with a stressful situation. I took care of a letter I had to send in, called my insurance to see if IOP is covered, cleaned my kitchen and took care of my cats. I will try to relax now. Hope everyone is doing well.

Very new here. Is this thread, itself, an accountability partner, or should I look further for a partner? I asked about this thread bc it seems people post their good and bad, and others respond to the downs and successes.

Hello. What specifically are you looking for if you don’t mind me asking? This thread was started as an accountability thread to help people with depression get things done. We’d welcome you aboard if it fits your needs. I can certainly modify my responses to tailor to your needs. Just let us know. I’m sure the other folks on this thread will respond as well.

I'm needing to get some things done today. But I'm having a hard time with motivation. My energy is low this morning. I'm still trying to wake up. Maybe a little later I'll feel better. Today I hope to take care of the following:

1. Clean litter boxes.
2. Take out the trash.
3. Create junk pile

Maybe I'll just focus on three items at a time. Three is a manageable number. And then I will try to reward myself for completing these tasks. Any support or encouragement anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. Also, I would love to hear what others would like support on.

Three things is a great number! Even one is a step in the right direction. You’ve made a good plan. I believe in you. You’ve got this! Alas, I need support in getting things done as well.

Today has been a difficult day. I had to go to the pharmacy this morning. But one of my meds wasn't ready. It was my doctor's fault. Had to call my doctor then went back out to the pharmacy in the snow. I was so nervous. I stopped at a wine shop while out and got myself something nice. Once I got home, I ordered groceries. I wasn't able to take my meds until late. And I haven't even taken my insulin. I've just been too busy and stressed. I'm trying to relax now. I have no plans for the evening. I may just go to bed early. And I'm not sure I really want to plan anything for tomorrow.
