I’m diagnosed with disordered eating, depression, dissociative disorder, anxiety and ocd tendencies. I sometimes get bursts of agressive energy that’s not anger based, and i tend to get physically agressive with my family and hurt them. To me in the moment I’m playing and I just have so much energy coursing though my body. I then will get depressed and I’m crisis by the smallest things from that.

Hi @HippyWitch,

I think it's a positive that you have the self awareness to recognize that you do get aggressive with your family and then hurt them. You're not in denial, but I am sorry that's happening for you, though. Yes, it must be quite depressing.

I imagine the next step for you will be to find ways to change that behaviour pattern & learn different ways of interaction that don't hurt anyone. I think a good therapist or some kind of instructional course might be a great way to go, HippyWitch.

Also, good on you for reaching out and a warm welcome to Psych Central.
