Today was the fourth time I couldn’t make it to see my daughter. I think it’s time to go see my pdoc and to possibly get a traditional tdoc since I’ve almost completely stopped functioning.

A fairly eventful morning for me. Started off doing the laundry. Then I decided to go to a church for the first time in months, although I went to one just less than a month ago when I went away on vacation. I didn't like it right away because the music was too loud. So I ended up not going in. Someone told me about that particular church. I don't know why it was recommended since I had stated that I didn't want to go to one with loud music.

My friend called a couple of times this morning, only to leave messages. He doesn't want to let go. I feel like there's some issues to iron out and I don't know if it's ever going to get better between us. I spoke with my sister also. It went good but she sounded tired.

I've gotten badly out of shape over the past few months. And I eat too poorly. Also book sales have never been so dead. I've got a lot of work left to do.

I feel fine this morning. Yesterday afternoon was though. But today is much better. I got plenty of sleep last night. Sleep usually helps out a lot.

Feeling pretty depressed today. Also it was a very hot day outside and kind of humid. I tend to feel more depressed on very warm days, especially now when this is the time that it's supposed to get colder. Anyways I saw on the weather forecast that the temperatures by tomorrow may drop by 30 degrees suddenly.

My friend and I talked last night. It was alright except about us getting together. As of now it looks like we may not get together ever. I have wanted to end our friendship but it would be hard as he's the only friend I've got. I feel like he depresses me a lot and I may be doing the same with him.

just wish for once there was a way to make others see/realize how incredibly tough this s**t actually is!!! (not only to deal with, but to live with day in and day out - constantly with no break)

I couldn't sleep more than two hours so I'm really tired today, but I'm not so down.

Some days just shouldn't be part of the stream of time - like today. I couldn't sleep last night. I ran out of my Vicodin and that disrupts my little life. My sig. other is sick. We can't take showers because something went wrong with the plumbing behind the shower. Plumbing professionals are coming tomorrow. They may have to knock out part of the bathroom wall to get to certain pipes. I'm caring for a sick man who needs to be kept clean . . . and now the bathroom is going to be a mess. This is a very small apt, not a big house with multiple bathrooms. We are so cramped in here already with durable equipment.

If they start breaking down a wall tomorrow, I am going to lose what's left of my mind.

I'm not really depressed at the moment. I can't afford to be. I have too much to worry about.

I worked out today for the first time in months. I used the new equipment that I got. It's very different from what I have been using before. It went OK but it takes some getting use to.

I recently heard an interesting observation. It went like this: "Happiness is not the natural condition of man."

I forget where I got that from, but it sounds about right, when I give it even a small amount of thought. I plan to think more about that concept. It seems a bit sad. But, if it's a fair decription of the human condition, then maybe a lot of us need to revise our expectations of life. I think I do. The world's a tough place. Life is tough. I guess we can feel fortunate just to survive each day. Feeling deeply fulfilled and satisfied is probably not what life is likely to be about for the general run of human kind.
