Trigger warning: self harm, medications and antidepressants.

Today I just can’t keep it together. I’ve never really felt like this. I’m on a medication that doesn’t work for me. It doesn’t help my depression and causes nausea. But I have the worst insurance and getting an appointment for a new medication would take at LEAST a month. Often times, I don’t even take it for that reason. Sometimes that causes side effects but in my depression, not taking the medication is like a form of self harm without actually self harming. It’s hard to get over that and just take it.

As hard as it is and as much of a pain in the backside as it is, you must get yourself a proper medication regimen going. It is just too dangerous otherwise. Please make an appointment. There are meds that work. I have struggled with bipolar depression for most of my life. We finally found something that worked when I was 44. Don't wait that long.

Hang in there. There is help available. You just have to find what that is for you.
