you try to be honest about your situation and simply say, I'm sorry but this isn't something I can do right now. which btw takes a lot of guts to say and admit! and they respond with the guilt trip & lack of understanding & just stupid remarks of "well if you can do *that* then you should do *this*"
 'it's not that much more/different/harder.....' you try to do what's best for YOU and your health, and they be-little you for doing so! YET if it were someone else, they'd probably be just fine with it. man, some people these days

Once I was in a situation,where I could not be an unpaid slave anymore because I was physically and emotionally exhausted.I was treated very bad and taken on guilttrips.They acted as if I do not exist.I could not take the psychological torture and asked what was my fault.They said I was not being useful to them anymore,so I am disposable.So I had to decide whether become a physical and emotional slave to them or take the abuse.I stopped the slavery.You can guess what I got in exchange?????? Silent treatment,sarcasm, abuse,emotional guilt trips.and so on.

I am sorry for what happened to BOTH of you, @jrae and @Mendingmysoul!
 Yes, some people can be real jerks! Unfortunately we have to keep fighting against prejudices and meanness in general. You're all really strong so please do keep going! You have value and you DO matter a lot no matter what others say! Take things one step at the time and try to ignore this kind of comments. They only come from a place of ignorance and meanness. Please do keep going!   Sending many safe, warm hugs to BOTH of you, @jrae and @Mendingmysoul, your Familiesi, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking no matter what happens, ok?

two straight weeks of silence, so screw them!
  some times the things people CHOOSE to say or do, or NOT say or do is just shocking - utterly shocking! then there are other times when s**t like that doesn't surprise you anymore - which is sad..... to all
