I'm lucky, compared to many people in the world (and some dear friends here). I can afford and tolerate the meds that suit me.

But no matter what time of day I take them, I still am filled with dread on the way to work each morning. It lasts until lunchtime.
After that, the self-hatred tends to wear off.

It's frustrating.

I don't know why mornings can be dreadful for me. Perhaps it's because of having to face a day after some hours of inactivity (sleeping). One guy on here told me that, at the end of the day, I feel better because I made it though the day and nothing terrible happened. So many times at the beginning of my waking time I feel like this is the day that the roof is going to cave in. I don't know why I feel that way.

Mornings are the worst for me too... dread is one of the things I also experience in the mornings. I also have a couple of dear friends (who don’t post much) who can tolerate meds but also experience this. I’m sorry you experience this dear friend. I think it could well be “part of” PTSD from abuse. As you and many find, “meds” are not the cure all/fix all that some seem to think they are. I’m happy for you dear friend that they take the edge off the pain and anxiety (at least some of the time)

There have been a few over time who have judged me as “a whiner”.. Those so superior people might well no longer even be on this planet if they had tolerated the pain and anxiety etc I’ve put up with for years. (not anyone here. But I can say I do not appreciate their inane judgments one bit. They repeated the abuse of low life others irl who lashed out with venom because of their own “failings” and “shortcomings’ ....how boring and how sad. Maybe i “should” feel sorry for them. But I don’t.

My grrrrr bear helped me write this.

Thank you for sharing dear friend and for allowing me to post my rant in this thread

Much love to you dear Purple

Yes, that's a good point. I also have zero faith in the probabilty that everything will turn out OK. I could have a thousand decent days, and it would mean nothing.

That's not completely true. I'm better than I was.

Thanks for sharing, Will.

I love dogs, but I really wouldn't be able to walk them before work.

On days off, it would be a pleasure.

But workdays. I'm like a machine, (getting ready), that's pretending to be a human.

Don't know why there's no sun up in the sky. Stormy weather. Can't keep my mind together. Keeps rainin' all the time.

Looking forward to clear skies, nothing, but blue skies, even if it’s cold. Baby, oh baby, don’t care, when there’s blue skies, nothing, but sunshine and blue skies.

The mornings are bad for me too.

Personally, I wonder if it has something to do with our brains trying to process information while asleep.

Also low energy levels don't help. Having to get up and manage the day ahead can be a daunting though.
