How do you dispose of unwanted “advice” which is actually garbage...

Garbage in, Garbage Out - This Can Be Useful

And don’t take criticism, “analysis” of a “situation” (or a person..) or “advice” from those who are not competent to “give” it with respect, intelligence, thoughtfulness, understanding and empathy...

Saying “move on” is not helpful to me..
Nor is suggesting meds or to “consult my pdoc”

(I have been having a few issues on another forum, not pc. And there is some “good” there so a simple suggestion of “leave there” is not helpful, and naturally I am smart enough to have thought of that myself..)

I have also been having a few issues irl ...

(Not about anyone on pc)

I am not good at putting unwanted advice out of my mind either. The rumination that follows causes a great deal of further distress. I guess that is our way of trying to process the garbage...

Would talking it over with a friend help?

I am sending empathy, respect and compassion to you and your snake dear Fuzzybear

It's sad how some ''people'' really have a knack of saying the most stupid and hurtful thing.... but they are so passive aggressive that they push the boundaries of what is ''accepted'' and get away with their abuse and garbage. They project their issues onto others on and on and on. UGH

Talking it over with a friend might help

''Wisdom'' can't be caught....

Love cannot be bought

Malignant narcissism, fortunately, also cannot be caught...…...

Much love to all who are as is

I can't stand unsolicited advice and/or suggestions myself. I can take advice pretty well if I don't agree with it as long as I had asked for advice. I personally ask for advice at times, but not very often. Also I don't like being criticized either. Except for if it's constructive or if I had hurt someone I care about without realizing what I had done or said.

I don't hand out unsolicited advice and criticisms myself. Maybe a little bit once in a while if I feel that there's a real need to. It's funny how people who dish out criticizing and unsolicited advice can't take it when it happens to them.
