I wish I could feel more like myself again. I've been struggling for a few months now with feeling anxious and depressed at times. I have times where I feel relief, but it just comes back.
I've tried everything for help through this such as keeping busy with hobbies, getting rest, eating well, etc. I was to my PCP for medication, had a psychological assessment, etc. I never experienced this before. Hopefully I can feel better soon. |

Hey @Rider52 I am glad that you saw a doctor but I encourage you to see a psychiatrist. PCP's are good in a pinch or in the interim but a psych is an expert on medication management and diagnosing mental illness. Its sort of like seeing PCP for heartburn. They can prescribe you medication to manage the symptoms but you wont know the cause or what med is truly best until you see a GI specialist and they do some thorough testing. They focus only on GI issues rather than like a PCP who handles everything from colds and flu's to physicals.
