It's says a lot about a humans ability to deny the obvious that I can go along for weeks thinking I'm not depressed than out of the blue it hits me and looking back I realize that I was functioning but my depression never went away. I have this playlist of songs that when I get depressed I listen to. Not to cheer me up, but I guess to fit my mood. Anybody like James Taylor? Shower the people, in the beginning says, " you can play the game, you can act out the part, but you know it wasn't written for you" So relatable. That's why I don't have any freinds. I would have play the part, and after several decades, it's just not worth it. How about Woody Guthrie " I aint got no home in this world" Lets not even go there. Seems like my whole lifes just been a mess, no mater how hard ive tryed.

Sorry you feel this way, especially around the holidays. No, depression doesn't go away on it's own. It's good that you can keep track of your moods. I don't know those songs, but I do the same sometimes and listen to depressing music when I'm sad. I love radiohead. Haha. Not sure if it's good or bad to do that. Hope something cheers you up. Try to hang on to those good feelings!
