I'm not sure if I have depression or not. I've never had any mental health issues in the past. This all started after something stressful. For awhile now I haven't felt right. Some days are better than others. I feel anxious at times and I don't know what triggers it. Sometimes I have a low mood. I wake up a few times a night, but usually get back to sleep. My dreams can be vivid at times. Early mornings I usually feel worse and symptoms ease up by the end of the day. I've been everywhere such as the ER and a PCP for testing and my health is good. I've had two different mental health assessments a few months apart. They really didn't give me an answer. I asked them about depression and they said possibly. Then I'm sent on my way with information on where to get help elsewhere. I'm still able to keep up with things in life. I'm just so miserable and confused about this at times.

I'm sorry you are struggling with this. I know how difficult it can be to get anything even approximating answers from the mental health system. I hope that in some way, though, you will be able to find your way through your misery & confusion.

Rider,
If the professionals are referring you to another provider, make an appointment. At least find out what that new person has to say about your situation.

From what you described, it seems like you are ambivalent to your situation. And that can produce different results for each person. Could you share more on how you spend your time away from work? Some times when I work, I don't take care of myself. I know that if I don't take care of me, I end up with negative feelings towards myself. Maybe you are the same way.

I hope you find peace.

Hi, when I have free time I usually spend time in nature fishing, riding my atv, getting excercise on my bike, etc. I do feel a little better at times and then I feel lousy again. I'll have to keep looking for help.
