For awhile now I've been feeling anxious and down throughout the day. Usually early morning is the worst time. I try so hard to help myself feel better with exercise, hobbies, spending time in nature, walking my pet, etc. I'm struggling with just not feeling myself anymore. I feel like no matter how hard I try there's the negative feelings that come back. I've been to my PCP and another place for a mental health assessment. I was given a prescription for anxiety attacks. I've taken online depression tests and the results vary. I just wish this would get better.

Is it the first time you feel like this or something changed lately?

Was there a change in your life? A new worry? Something you feel you cannot face?

I was under some stress with my job. That's when the anxiety started and I haven't felt the same since. I've tried everything, self help, medication and I still struggle.

I understand it.
You named months and this is a long enough period to cause struggles in a person. It’s a good idea that you visited a psychiatrist who can give you some clue. Are you ok with this psychiatrist? Are you considering the possibility to see another who can prescribe you psychotherapy. I know meds have a work to do but the real insight is provided on therapy. It’s possible your psychiatrist saw a mild depression and saw anxiety as the main symptom. There are even meds that help with both depression but also with anxiety. Maybe, another medication that cover both. What about looking for a second opinion, another psychiatrist? __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. I went to my PCP and was prescribed meds for anxiety. It has helped some, but I still don't feel right. I went somewhere else for a mental health assessment. I asked them about depression, they said possibly, and suggested counseling. If things don't improve I'll have to try other places.

Wish you like. Keep trying it if things don't improve enough.

What's happening at work that has you stressed for the past few months? Medication can only address your anxiety symptoms, but it cannot fix the cause of those symptoms: which is your job. Once you fix the cause (your job), your anxiety symptoms will go away. |

I can't figure out what my anxiety trigger is. I get waves of anxiety throughout the day. Sometimes I feel like I got a handle on it and then it comes back.
