Hey, gang. Just wondering how many of these we have had to go through to get to one or two that helped us. Myself, I have been on around in the neighbrohood of maybe 15 or 16 or so. Over a long time, though, since, like, '97. My depression is not very good right now. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Over the past two decades, 5. None worked for me. Although one psychiatrist diagnosed me with MDD, maybe I just am sad from a bad situation which is my main cause for severe upset.

I am sorry, TishaBuv. So, like, you just do not treat it now or something?

I’m seeing a psychiatrist and a psychologist to talk. Buspar for anxiety does more for my emotional regulation, yet this stumps the doctors. I hope these doctors figure out what I do or don’t have and help.

I wonder if ADs aren’t right for you at all, either.

Oh wow, that is so odd about the Buspar. It did nothing for me, but also, nothing negative.

Well, you know what? You make a very interesting point. My depression is not, in my opinion, really related primarily to serotonin. The only things that have worked for me are all focused on other systems. By far, the most effective thing for m ever, by miles and miles, was focused solely on glutatmate. So, in my experience, I have glutamate-related depression. Sadly, Ketamine is the only curretnly available drug in the US. But more are on the way.

I have been on every single one that was invented before 2000. And they were all bad. The oldest of them seemed to do the most good but bad side effects made me stop them. Since 2000 I haven't been on any and my life has been much more stable

@bpcyclist, have you ever been on Effexor? I was wondering because it really does the trick for me, at least in combination with all the other stuff I take, which includes Abilify. I take Remeron, Abilify, and Effexor, and it does the trick for my depression. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean it would help you, too, and you said you've already been on Remeron, but I just thought I'd share my experience. I hope you find some relief from depression soon.
