Hello everyone,
Just wanted to ask if anybody else... feels so... dumb sometimes or as in my case most of the time.
Maybe I was always this dumb but it feels like I am really loosing my mind 🤯
Yesterday I had two phone calls in the span of mere minutes and somehow managed to book the 2 appointments at nearly the same time. Only realized that the moment the 2nd call ended. Of course! Couldn't even just call back and clear it up with some excuse.
And these... thoughtless misshaps are happening more and more often. Not really helping with my attempt to build up self esteem 😑.
Is this happening to some of you too?

Well, yes, this sort of thing happens to me as well. But in my case it's at least partially due to old age. But I also think depression as well as anxiety play a part in it too. I do believe long-term depression & anxiety take a toll on one's mental capacity. At least I'm certain they have on mine. My own rule-of-thumb is, if it isn't written down, it won't happen. I'm sorry you are dealing with this & hope you can find some ways to work around your memory shortcomings. Best wishes...

Thank you Skeezyks,

Yes I also have to write everything down but even then mistakes happen 🙈
At the moment phone calls especially but social interactions in general ...stress me out so much. Always feels like I am taking a surprise exam and already know I'm gonna fail.

I now have great difficulty typing and memory issues. Am 56, so... I relate. I do.
