Today it is tough to keep the irritability that accompanies my depression inside. I can hear it in my voice when I answer the office phone at work. That is not a good thing. I spent most of the weekend sleeping and holed up in my bedroom, trying to watch TV—something I enjoy—in order to keep above the ad feelings. It worked, so some degree. And when I couldn’t keep focused, I just slept. Probably not the best option, but it helped last night when I stayed up later to watch TV but still needed to get up this morning for work. So, at least, I don’t feel totally out of it today.
Just sharing to get it out there. Not sure if I really need any advice. Just felt the need to express myself in a safe place. |

Dear whimsicalman,
That happens a lot to me lately. Some people, I think, don't realize that depression can cause irritability. I myself get 'grumpy' as I get depressed. My heart goes out to you! Sincerely yours, Yao Wen |

I'll need to read more on that. If there are any good links, let me know.
