im just feeling horrible lately, i spent an hour taking online depression screenings and doing research on the illness and how to get help without money and anyone knowing. I'm in a bad place right now, I have no motivation to do anything right now and I am pre-stressing for all the work I have on my plate (specifically schoolwork and SAT study). I just wanna cry but I cant and I feel stuck and have been for 4 years now. I wish I cud restart my life and do it different, but I cant which is why I feel hopeless. i need help and if anyone knows of a free online confidential therapist or psychologist please let me know.

Welcome aboard and nice to have you! I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions. I basically just go along with my life, depression and all. Maybe others on here can come up with something better than I could. I'm sure someone else on here would for you.

Dear heyfellas,
I am so sorry you are feeling so overwhelmed. I, unfortunately, do not have any online resource recommendations for you, but I can tell you that you are not alone in your struggles and to please stay strong. It sounds like you are young and this may be a time of great stress as a result. A lot of schoolwork, SAT studies, and wondering what your next stages in life will be is no small event in a young persons life. It can be incredibly daunting, and my heart goes out to you. Considering that you are looking for anonymity, it sounds like you may not be comfortable seeking out help from parents, friends, or other family. If you can, I would highly recommend it, but if you can't, I hope you can find what you are looking for. Being able to talk things out with someone can be a huge help, but in the meantime, please breathe deep and know you are not alone, and there are many people who wish you well despite not knowing you and your story personally. Try not looking at all of it at once. Make a list of things you have to do, their deadlines, and pick away at them one by one. Let yourself feel good for what you can get done, and not just daunted by what you still have to do. Try not to let the weight of all of them fall on you at once. Perhaps reaching out to a school counselor could help. Please do not feel stuck. As I said, it sounds like you are young, and while you want to restart, it seems that your life is in no way set in stone but just beginning. The fact that you are reaching out shows a lot of consciousness and maturity. These are tough times, but I believe you can get through them as you have your whole life ahead of you. Even baby steps move you forward. Stay strong, and I wish you all the best.

You are talking about school work and SATs. That makes me think you are probably a junior or senior in high school. Have you talked to your parents? A school counselor is also a good resource to start with. Someone at your school will know how to get you help. Your parents need to know so that they can help you too. If your parents have health insurance, those doctor visits/counselling visits will be covered under their health insurance. If they do not have health insurance, still let them know and work with the resources at your school. They can get you help that your family can afford. I have a son who just turned 18. I would certainly want to know about any issues he is having so I could help them. Don't be shy to say something to your parents and your school counselor. They want to help you.

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear that you're struggling.

I have a few ideas. First, you can google articles and other things about specific problems you're having. Second, there are crisis lines that are free. I know I text 741-741 a lot when I'm struggling (just text "home" and they'll set you up with someone; most of them are pretty helpful, though sometimes it's a matter of getting the right person). Talking to friends or family members you trust could also be helpful. There's also a free app called MindDoc that tracks your mood and has some helpful articles. There is a paid version, but I think that it's still really good without the upgrade.

That's all I can think of for now. I hope you can find some help! If you ever need to talk, you can always message me. Sending love and prayers.
