Even getting out of bed yesterday was a challenge. I needed to get my medications so I it happened but not until late afternoon. I did get some knitting done and finished a hat last night but somehow I don't think that counts as exercise.

Today I made the pom pom for the top of the hat. I have also made some tuna and vegies for tea. Need to get out of the house and see some people.
Does your family live near you Deejay? Maybe you could invite some-one for a sleep over at your place?

I have a big family but I don't think there is anyone who would want to sleep over. Siblings are older and everyone likes their own bed. I know I do. My nieces and nephews have their own little ones to look after. I bought some batteries for my candles so that will help.

Well done for even getting out of bed and everything you did achieve well done,it is an achievement,I know how hard it is,everything I get done I have to push myself to do it and it is hard so I know how you feel Possum. You will exercise too when you are up to it.Every little bit counts.

Diabetes Support ThreadThanks for the pictures. I tried to post a picture of snowflake bulbs in flower. Gremlins took it. They are popping up in my garden and I think some Jonquils are doing the same. Must attack some weeds this week.
Think maybe my iron levels are going south again.
Thinking of you all.

it's been raining here for a couple of hours, and all the plants are soooo grateful~! it's only our second rainfall this year~!

well, my recent rampage on the caloric front has earned me 2 pounds, but this past week i did good, and managed to stay inside the lines... so if i can move around a bit, i should drop those off again in 4 weeks~~ O.O

I'll try! Say you poke your finger to test. Your finger is representative of the blood in your system at any given time.

When you test your finger immediately after exercising, its like testing the carbuerator of a car when its running. There is gasoline and sparks in there to make the engine go. In your personal system, your body is providing energy to your muscles, so to do so, it has to put sugar and sparks in the system. This is why you have to pee as soon as you walk in the door from grocery shopping

If you test your finger later, the carbeurator will be empty and thats why they test your blood sugar when you are fasting. I should not have to add, i am not a doctor!

many other people i talk with have reported that their blood sugars fall after exercise,,, no one mentioned how long after the exercise they tested, but mine was at least half an hour,, not like the 'car was still running'....

i have another medical condition, not producing an enzyme which makes my blood vessels porous. this is the cause of my hypoxia, and fatigue. i suspect it is also involved in my diabetes and blood sugar abnormalities....

Today my support worker came around and we were able to have a bit of a clean up in the garden (exercised enough to know that I will be sore tomorrow). Even got to do some washing and change the sheets on the bed. Just the fact that I know some-one is coming around is motivating for me to tidy up the clothes that are strewn around the bedroom.

Love a good roast too.

Boy! Don't think I have exercised since Friday. The last few days have been a blur. Today was surgery day for spouse. Been up since 4 am and just got in a short while ago. One more week of waiting for the pathology report but Dr. is cautiously optimistic so ill takes that. Wish I could say this will all be over next week, but my sister has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will need surgery, radiation and chemo.

Now to get through the night!!

Sometimes it never rains but pours. Gentle hugs if you want them Deejay. I have been wondering how it went. Hope you can rest up a little at some point. Will your hubby be in for much longer.

That is rotten news about your sister. Hope they caught it early so that she has the best outcome.

I could get some exercise in Gus and come around and visit. It would only take a plane and a train and a couple of connecting buses to get there. I will bring the mint sauce.

My husband will be home on Saturday we hope. I was a little bit afraid last night but the battery candles worked their magic. They are on a five hour timer. Got up early, took care of me and my fur babies and got my exercise in all before 10 am. Went to the hospital but husband very tired so came home so he could try and sleep. Now more waiting for the biopsy report. Cautiously optimistic!

I believe in miracles too, Gus, and I don't need a big one to believe in them.
My body is so tired from the last 48 hours. I decided to exercise early because I figured chances were small I would do it later. I just found out I have to do my strengthening at least four times a week, but mostly five. I lost quite a bit and my body is in revolt today.
