Maybe you could ask your good general doctor where you could get this done and make an outing of it with a friend who can drive or go on a bus trip to Costco? I asked the optometrist when I would actually feel that the pressure had changed. She said I would feel pain when the eye pressure was about 35 but also said it would be too late to do anything about it at that stage. They like people to be under 25 for eye pressure. I was 10 in one eye and 12 in the other.

Don’t see anything wrong with fruit salad Gus. Whole fruits aren’t that bad. 😀

Hi guys, I'll be back in the fold tomorrow. Husband going back to work and this household will be back on schedule. I haven't exercised for a week and a half!

Lose the whipped cream Gus and use natural yoghurt that is low in sugar or even a diabetic ice cream. Try grated apples and a small sprinkling of pecans or walnuts. I am sure that there are some fruits that are lower in sugar than others. Stewed fruits in artificial sweetener may also be an option like rhubarb and apples. You can have your fruit and eat it too.

for a couple of years i was eating a small apple a day. i used it for snack times, 50 calories,, a great deal. but ,, as time goes by,,, i just got tired of apples...
oranges are much higher in sugar, and bananas are 100 cals per~! peaches, esp. the local ones (colorado) are so good, but they are only available for a few weeks each fall.

our market carries crap for fruit and vegetables, like we are goats, or something. i try this and that, thinking the changes will help, and they do.... but it's hard to eat well when one does not have good transportation to the crappy market. i save my canned peaches and juices for those occasional mornings when i wake up with BSL's in the 50's and 60's,,
somehow i always wake up in time,, my body can feel me fading and is not willing to go there~

Didn’t mean to make you gag Gus. What about diet jelly and low fat ice cream? Living where you do makes getting fruit etc very hard. I love peaches even when they come in a tin but eAting the same fruit over and over is no fun. Today I went to the fruit shop and saw these lovely oranges but know I can't eat them because they give me migraines.
Can you ask any neighbours what they do for a better source of fruit? Does anywhere make deliveries to you?

Hi all,
We are back on schedule here at home. Husband is back at work today and hopefully he will just need scans and blood work for the next five years. But really it's no more than one day at a time.

Got all my exercises done today. Lost a little bit but still did, well. Won't take me long to work my way back up to the usual reps

I am pleased that things are back on track Deejay. Wish you could bottle that motivation to get exercise done and send some over here.
It’s cold here and I haven't been for a proper walk for ages. Too much time in bed and too much peanut butter.

Starting this weekend it's going to be in the mid 90's and very humid for the entire week. Not looking forward to it!

Yesterday I finally broke the dry spell of walking and went and did it. Even in the afternoon the fog was so thick that I was unable to see the end of each block. Max of 40f. A bit eerie but yay me. Will see if I can do it two days in a row.

Today I managed another walk. No fog. I would be proud of that but I am rather disappointed/disgusted with what I have just eaten.

Excellent job Possum! Just take one day at a time with exercise. If I have it in my head I have to exercise 5 days in a row I don't think I would do half as well.
I just make a plan for one day, each day.

Today I sweat through my exercise. Incredibly hot and humid here. I hate to sweat!!!
