What a rough trot you and your wife are having. Hope the show you are seeing can brighten you both up.
How are you going Marilyn? Today I am packing for tomorrow's operation. Finally here. Least the waiting part is nearly at an end. My bsls are higher than normal but I have not been eating properly which is to be expected. |

Thanks Gr3tta. Recovery stage in now happening, feeling tired. Might have something to do with the pain meds. bsls were off the charts in hospital. Hope they will resolve at home.

Extremely nervous to go see the doctor that did so much damage to my wife tomorrow. Will go over the plan ahead of time. Very angry.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. |

Hi guys, it's been a long while since I've been in this thread. I've changed my username recently, because I was tired of the other one.
I started here with some resolve to eat and do better. I lost my meter for a while, so I didn't check my levels. They are ok, but I need to remember to make a doctor's appointment tomorrow. |

I ate a few of the wrong things over the weekend and then ate too much yesterday, gained 8 pounds back of the 27 I had lost. My blood sugar was up more than usual today. So I am having tuna at my meals. Good source of protein. I hate Diabetes!!

I hate diabetes also!!!
My wife has made a bunch more pump adjustments. I hope they help. I hope she doesn't go back the other direction now. She now needs another fistulagram, also, which is outpatient vascular surgery. I truly hope everyone can test their blood sugar soon! I do know its difficult and very frustrating. |

I measured my blood sugars for the first time in 20 days, it is 360,far too high. Got to take action but my fridge is stacked with desserts full of sugar. Had fruit juices today too !I am out of control ad feel like a failure, and we are headed towards Christmas which for me is the treat time season in food terms. Problems, problems, problems!

In honor of logging in to this thread I tested my BSL's. 8.2 a little higher than I would like. Halloween hasn't gone viral in Australia so that is not an issue. We dont have Thanksgiving here either. Another bonus.
Having gum issues. Was at the dentist this morning and off to the periodontist on Tuesday. I wonder if psych meds over decades have impacted on my oral health. |

How about mixing juice with sparkling water, for a similar taste with less sugar? The holidays are challenging for many people. Feel better soon! |

I don't suppose anyone has experience with a gastric pacemaker? My wife is looking into having one, we are waiting for surgical consult appointment.
I really want to avoid a PEG tube. This would all be for gastroparethsis. Be well all. |

The doctors normally would like people to be between 5-8 so 8.2 is nothing to be upset about. Still waiting to see the gum man tomorrow so nothing to report there.
Gastric Pacemaker? I didn't know they had them. Hope the consult goes well for you both and something good can be sorted out. |
