Feel free to stay! I have never seen anyone specificially for my dissociation so it's self-diagnosed and I feel welcome here (apart from my own self-doubts). Hope you'll stick around and that you will find the posts useful and the people friendly

Hi Tohelpafriend,

When you sign in to PC, just above where it says “Welcome, tohelpafriend”, there is a grey bar with some menu options.

One of these options is Chat. The number behind the text shows how many people are in chat at that moment. If you click on Chat, you will see different options. You only need to select a room to enter the chat.

If you would like to see who are in chat, you can choose the last option of this menu. Just play around a bit with the options...

For further info: a member of PC has prepared a tutorial about how to use chat:
http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=178220

Good luck!
John

I am .I feel like I have to "pretend " out in public...always having to remember to answer to the name Kim...and remembering to refer to ourselves as "me ,I myself" I sometimes forget and say "we, or us " I can usualy play it off and no one notices....We are pretty smooth with our switches. Your not alone I had to look high and low for a forum like this. I hope to make friends who understand what I'm talking about...keep your chin up..together we will make since of all this mess

Try using no pop up chat. Clicking on the word chat in the bar above is supposed to take you into a pop up window on a chat screen. you should land in the 'lobby' and from there select a room. You choose a room by clicking the door icon at the top right of the message window... Pm me if you need more help

Try going to the main page- community page
Then on the Top Bar you will see the word Community, to the left of the word
"community" you will see "Find Help" the white bar underneath those two word will say chat.

Click on chat then scroll down till you see the chat you want.

My chat's are under the "Rooms that Never Go Away'" then just keep scroll'n till you see the room you want.

Hope this helps,
Crew

I have DID and just how to watch the others I can now watch what they do but cant control them its like being in a dream state. Then there are times I today black out afraid that new presinabilitys are being born. Sometimes I will be on the phone and have no idea who im sleeping to or what I was saying. My others also spend money and I have packages coming that I dont know where they came from. I have 7 Know personalitys.
When I was in therapy I kept telling my T that i felt there were a lot of me. Because people would tell me I said or did something I did not do. Two of my bosses ask me if I had DID because of hand writing changes in my nurses notes. Then sometimes i would tell my T sorry I did not come to session and my T said I did come. Very scary even today. Dont like it cant get care for it because the new place I go to done not treat DID or think it real. Lost my old theorist about three years ago. Do to a conflict with one of my personality.

There used to be chats here hosted by some... can't remember who though. I think we went to one or two. It was an awkward timing for us, so not many. Havne't seen them for a long time now. Someone could offer to host one?
