The movie....

This is my life day after day to avoid extra curricular triggers. Same lunch sandwich, same breakfast, same job, same home, same shopping store, same wake up, same beer, same isolation, minimal bills, no friends, no phone calls, same shows, same programs= safe from unplanned switches.

Wear the same uniform 6 days a week.

No surprises no unplanned switches.

It works so says us.

glad you are having a calm uneventful day. um question your post confused me a bit.... how do you plan switches?

your post says "no unplanned switches" so I was wondering how planned and unplanned switching works. I have never heard of that.

By living a controlled, routined, boring structured daily life....the plan is to have a basic minimal amount of switching without surprises...only switches that are bound to happen due to environment and situations such as the femmes get the home life and the guys go to work day in day out. Routine simple, planned- no surprises or upsets in the scheduling.

A chaotic way of living much like how a teenager would live without knowing what would happen will cause sporadic unplanned switching, chaos, triggers left and right.

Jailtime, financial upheaval, random triggers- all unplanned...random, sporadic, out of control...

So we plan on having a regulated life to minimize triggers versus a chaotic life causing unplanned switching.

Maturity level and the desire for stability over one’s crazy life as past lived....it takes planning. An unplanned life leads to craziness.

We are going to have switches guaranteed for the many that we have...best have a schedule then unplanned surprises. We would thrive in an institution, but prefer to live in our own institutionalized reality governed by elected rules and regulations to keep the body safe.

It’s all about control.

This is the gist of the sentiment.

I see now so its not "planned switching" or "unplanned switching" that you are doing its you planning your daily schedules just like any one else would do... making their schedules to get things done in the least troublesome way. like when I schedule work, childrens activities and all that I choose the order and schedule that is least troublesome and hectic on all of us...

I thought maybe you were doing something a friend of mine did of purposely exposing yourself to problems and triggers causing yourself to switch, which is a very dangerous thing to do because theres no promise that the right alter would take control at the right time. and end up getting you diagnosed with something other than DID, Dissociative disorders since you would be planning when to do it. had me worried for you for a moment.

I guess this depends on the levels of traumas, but how can you predict the environment?

Limited exposure beyond the four walls. Play it safe and stay within safe boundaries. Meet no new people and avoid stressors.

It helps that our job allows us to work alone allowing for the workers to focus on their task.

For us....the less human contact as possible, the less stressful is our day. People render dissociation.

Routine.
