honestly I'm not quite sure how to handle this
a while ago we got a new alter who seemed quiet and as the days progressed, she wants to become more and more involved with coming out and doing things the problem is that she won't tell us why she wants to come out, and she won't tell us what her intentions are furthermore, it's making me anxious just thinking about all the harm she might be able to do usually alters arn't this strong when they first are known about, are they? well I don't know I remember when natalie was first known about she was quite strong but since then it's taken a while to get to know them |

Is something happening in your life that she thinks that she can do better? It seems that alters are strong only if they want to be, but may not last as long (in my experience).
I have parts that show to just be and to just go back in because the body just doesn’t suit them just to prove they can. Shut up Sheldon. |

reason I ask is because DID alters are a very special kind, they dont just come into being in adulthood, theres a mental and physical and extreme trauma elements that go into causing a person to have DID. this would be my first step in trying to figure out this situation if this happened to me... I would look at my recent posts to see if any of them mentioned undergoing extreme trauma, I would be contacting my treatment providers to have a physical and tests done to see if there is any physical damages the likes of that which I went through before I was 5 (the kind of extreme trauma that causes DID leaves physical problems that needs immediate treatment, so if I went through such extreme trauma there would be recent medical reports and such) not to mention recent dissociative amnesia, and other dissociative symptoms...... in short all the different mental physical and traumas and everything else has to line up perfectly for the creation of another alter... once I figured out what the recent extreme physical, mental/ emotional/ sexual ..... trauma was that would answer why I had this new alter...what they were created for and why they wanted to take control.. you know all the sense of agency stuff. if there is no recent medical reports and such then I would know that this is not a new alter but one that has already been there since before I was 5, just not co conscious with them until now. thats what I would do if this happened to me. my suggestion is contact your treatment providers, they will be able to help you figure out what is going on including talk with you about what ever recently extreme trauma and dissociative symptoms and physical elements that caused this to happen to you. and if not a new alter but one that you just didnt know about until now, your treatment provider can help you to discover what their sense of agency is and all that. |

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this, raging vortex I agree with AlwaysChanging2 and amandalouise. Perhaps it's just an alter that you've had since the beginning. I'd suggest to talk to your doctor about this and see how it goes from there. Hopefully he/she will be able to help you. I'm so sorry, I know it's hard. Please don't give up. Remember that we're here for you if you need it. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this

forgot to add in my post that maybe learning about what physically and mentally happens when someone dissociates and how alters are created will help. This information is in my thread called integration. The trigger warning is just so that people are aware that the thread is about my integration process and the thread has some medical terms in about how the brain works.
By integration I dont mean the big bang at the end of therapy alters be gone. I mean the whole process.. entering therapy, being diagnosed, learning what the dissociation process is, learning how alters with DID are created, .... lots of great information that you cant find in other DID specific websites before I posted this thread about DID, dissociation and integration processes.. here is the link... Course we also want T's evaluation too. |

None of my parts really make an introduction when presenting or fronting, they just come out and type something or do something. Because of lifelong secrecy? We have a group ever present so it’s not like one is out very long.
The only way we can tell is the way the body feels and moves or after the fact like what was said or done. |

New alter, foggy unsure of themselves needs to pick up on things that are specifically for that reason! An association to something things needs to seasoned/tried/and awaken to

Do you have any idea why these thoughts and feelings and behaviors (presenting as this alter) have been triggered up? Sometimes when certain alters get triggered up for us its because they are related to a particular time period or group of others that we are working with in therapy. Or is it that the feelings held by this alter are triggered because of a situation in your like at the moment maybe? It helps us to figure out whats going on when we can figure out what triggered that alter out in the first place, or what job they are trying to do. One thing I've learned recently is that with DID nothing is ever random!

Discovered our newly appearing alter had been helping our 'school' alter. Now that we are dealing with lots of legal paperwork, she's come to help that alter. IMO since so much has changed in the system, more cooperation & safe environment for example, she may want to be more apart of it. Or she's curious. Should be interesting!!!
