most people (myself included) listen to music or relaxation / mindfulness when sleeping which blocks out the voices of alters and at the same time keeps dissociatives grounded.

there are many great radio, netflix, internet, even blue ray players, laptops, computers and cell phones have aps and channels for this kind of thing and most are free. though netflix does have a monthly access fee.

walmart, target and other department stores also sell MP3 players where you can download or upload the music/ mindfulness/ relaxation sounds you enjoy.

All I do is turn on my blue ray, find the mindfulness/ relaxation sound I want to listen to, and off to sleep I would go, worked even when I wasnt integrated.

I'm so sorry you're hurting so much, Dnester It must be very annoying. I'd suggest to talk to your therapist about this and see how it goes from there if you haven't already. Hopefully she will be able to help you and to give you some suggestions to deal with all of this. She's there to help you after all. I hope you'll be able to get some sleep soon! It must be very annoying and tiring for you. I'm so sorry you're going through all fo this. Please don't give up. I'm sure you'll be able to get through all of this. Try to hang on. I have had some luck with long warm shower, and a guided meditation (about 10 mins) I often don’t get a full nights sleep but at least I can usually get a few hours this way.

That would be Awesome! Unforunately in this group home I have to be aware of my surroundings in case someone tries to hurt me. Men come in my room at night and we dont have locks. Sometimes they are drunk.

I will have to try that. I used to hear the chatter right before I went sleep now its I am almost asleep and it says something and startles me awake. I wonder if someone isnt getting enough attention from me? One was upset about a dead grasshopper tonight. Its 12:30 am here and I am still up.

I don't sleep well, I find it hard to get to sleep, and then I wake up many times through the night. I am always, always tired.
I tell listen to gentle music to calm me down at night and try to regulate my nervous system, which helps. You can listen with just one earplug in, I often do that.

These days I don't worry too much about how little sleep I get. I stay in bed resting for an appropriate amount of time and just listen to music or podcasts or read if sleep just doesn't come. I figure at least I am resting my nervous system by not worrying or stressing about not sleeping.
