Just that
They are so tiring and “draining”

Hugs and respect to all here

Does anyone who dissociates have any tips to help with triggers?

Does anyone experience self abandonment?

(Meds......etc not an option for me, they have not helped )

find something that you enjoy doing. then write this down, find something else that you enjoy doing and write that down... this is making a list of grounding, relaxing, comforting things you can do for yourself to help you when you start having triggers...

example of my list....

Breath
row my canoe on the lake
take a walk
pet my service dogs
play with my children
ask my wife for a hug or cuddle time with out sex
watch a favorite comedy
Yoga

I know fuzzy its hard when you have many triggers. but if you know what triggers you have you can build your list to match those things and counter those triggers by using your grounding list.

do you have an item that means something to you (anything precious) that you can hold and ground yourself with

I have a whole cupboard of these things and when I feel the need, I'll go to the cupboard and hold something- just hold it to make me aware where I am and that I'm safe
