I know y'all say dont worry about it but I dont want to be schizophrenic. I asked her about it today and she said Its dissociative schizophrenia when she told me two months ago it was DID. She said something about it used to be called that in the asylums "split mind" then she said how about we do our hypnosis for today. She does this hypnosis with me every Tues where she tells all negative parts to not come out unless they have special permission from me because I have some parts that aren't helpful anymore and are dangerous. Then puts some positive things for me to feel and think. Today she said for me not to worry about my diagnosis under hypnotherapy which she has never done before. Then after hypnotherapy I am only allowed to talk about positive stuff. So I wasn't allowed to ask her what she meant by dissociative schizophrenia. Now Im like Wth?!

they have combined your .............Symptoms............. together and have not given you an actual diagnosis as it appears in any diagnostic book or diagnostic criteria. you have dissociative Symptoms you have Schizophrenia Symptoms and they drew a boundary line in therapy... in therapy you will have to work your therapy program not derail the therapy by distractions of diagnosis, reject diagnosis, diagnosis , reject diagnosis. this is done for two reasons......,. 1...when a client is stuck in a endless loop and wont let it go even after being asked to focus on treatment not diagnosis names 2 for attention or derailing treatment so as to prevent the healing process or progress with getting work done and getting better. there are new rules now, treatment providers are now held accountable when their clients are not making progress, they must now work with boundaries and goals and if the goals are not getting completed they have to address why.. you have been in this never ending loop long enough and they have no choice but to put a stop to it since you wont or cant do so on your own. my suggestion is do what they want you to do. no more focusing on diagnosis and rejection and do your therapy program. |

Idk she mentioned something about this before. She has told me that she thinks that schizophrenia DID and BPD are all the same disorder
Update: Now she says they are seperate and I do not have schizophrenia. I misunderstood. She said I need to talk to my parts to find out more about them. One is on Mommy mode. Everyone is Mommy right now. What can i do to comfort them? Last edited by Rive1976; Jul 23, 2019 at 05:01 PM.. |

what comforts me is going to the lake and rowing my canoe around the lake. again only you know what things will comfort you and your parts. maybe you can sit down and make a list of things that brings you all comfort. |
