I have trouble feeling in sync with others. I feel like I’m observing myself when I do things, even if I’m not around others. Especially when I pray to a God I feel this way. I have been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder which I understand is closely related. Is there a good diagnostic test for dissociative disorder that I should suggest to my psychiatrist or psychologist?

my suggestion is contact your treatment provider and let them know you are considering this. they will look in your files to see when your last diagnostic evaluation was done and whether its time to take another. (Im assuming here that since you say you are diagnosed with schizo affective disorder you have already undergone a psychiatric evaluation for mental disorders, the results and which tests were done should be located in your mental health records that treatment providers keep on their clients/ patients.) |
